No matter whether you are a professional artist, or haven’t touched clay since kindergarten, you will find the Marinette Clay Corner an exciting and fun place to be.

Facilities include wheels for pot throwing, rollers for slab and hand-building, clay extruders for the coil builders and 4 kilns for firing your clay creations.  The club maintains nearly 40 glazes for ready use and stocks a variety of clay and tools for purchase by members.  Member and non-member instructors provide a robust selection of classes and workshops where members can improve their expertise and expand their artistic horizons.  Custom Yard Art and one-of-a-kind pieces of pottery for sale in our club room. Stop in for a visit!

Summer Fun Shops Schedule - 2017

Fun Shop Schedule

The following is a schedule of the Fun Shops for the summer of 2017. About two weeks before the scheduled date, a sign up sheet will be placed on the front desk. Please be fair to the teachers and only sign up if you are planning to take the class. On these sign up sheets will be a list of supplies needed for the class. These classes are free and the teachers are donating their time. Join us and have fun.

The meeting was called to order by President David Krause. The Pledge of Allegiance followed.
Mary Jo Krause, Secretary, read the minutes of the February 8, 2017 meeting. Sandy Kohlman moved to accept minutes as read, Marti Snead seconded. Motion passed.

February 8, 2017 Marinette Clay Corner General Meeting

The meeting as called to order by President David Krause. The Pledge of Allegiance followed. Mary Jo Krause, Secretary, read the minutes of the January 11,2017 meeting. Martie Reynolds moved to accept the minutes as read. Carol Kunz seconded. Motion carried. Judi Nash gave the Treasurers Report. Total income for January was $10,557.77. Disbursements were $3,718.17. Net gain was $6,839.60. Total income is $50,963.37.

The meeting was called to order by President David Krause. The Pledge of Allegiance followed. Mary Jo Krause, Secretary, read the minutes of the November 9, 2016 meeting. Kay Dixon moved to accept the minutes as read. Donna Kraft seconded. Motion passed. Mary Jo Krause  gave the Treasurers Report.  Total income  for December 2016 was $3,332.40. Disbursements were $4,170.40. Net loss was $838.00. Total income is $44,122.53.

99th and Union Hills Closure

Traffic Advisory Update: 99th Avenue at Union Hills Drive

The 99th Avenue Driveway to Marinette Center will be closed from Wednesday, March 15 through Saturday, March 18.

In addition, Maricopa County DOT will be closing the entire intersection beginning on Saturday, March 18 at 5am for 24 hours (to be re-opened by Sunday at 5am).

RCSC Cardholders are advised at least one of the entrance driveways from Union Hills will remain open during this time period.

ASU Studio Tour 2017 Scheduled

Heads up... the 16th Annual ASU Studio Tour is scheduled for the weekend of Feb 25-26, 2017. Here's a link to the event poster. The studio locations map and demonstrations schedule will be announced soon. This is a once-a-year opportunity to meet notable potters, view their work, and discuss techniques.
